We leave on Sunday, June 9, to go to Usigu, Kenya and return on Wednesday, June 26. We ask that you please remember to cover our team in prayer. We are always very busy while in Kenya. There will be building upgrades, roofing, teaching, preaching, hugging, a huge birthday party, and more. We will also be dealing with some issues concerning the running of the home and appreciate your prayers over those matters.
Craig and Cherie have returned to Kenya. We are so blessed to have them there with our children and staff. Here is an update from them.
We are getting back “in the groove” of Kenya and we are so happy to be here with our African “family”. Thanks to all of our friends and family, church family, who were so gracious and hospitable towards us while we were home on furlough and for helping us to return. We love all of you very much and your prayers and encouragement and financial support is much appreciated.
We here at Carry the Light hosted an event for “World Orphan’s Day” and it was a huge success. The children were excellent in their manners and their talents for entertaining with songs, poems and drama is second to none. The officials from the government (child protective service) were seen dancing and really giving themselves over to the joy of singing and praising. A big thanks to our own head room mother, Phoebe Atieno, for all your hard work in training the children. They made us all very proud. Please do keep them in prayer for sustained health. Prayer covers so many challenges here in Africa and we have ongoing prayer here every day with one group or another.
We are all looking forward to Joshua’s (the pastor) upcoming wedding in June! God bless all of you for your faithfulness to this ongoing work.
In His service,
Craig and Cherie
