Praise the Lord for such a GREAT time at Carry the Light Children’s Home. Yep, I was there June 2nd and we had a blast! The children were so happy to have me there early this year. Babu Greg, Mama Donna, and Mama Vickie usually have me come in July, but they all agreed to have me come early. All of the children were expecting that Birthday’s visit had come, but they weren’t sure just when I was coming so the excitement grew each day.
Oh, Sponsors, thank you sooooo much for providing the $20.00 for me to use to bless each child with a great gift. Babu Greg brought jean shorts for everyone; the boys and girls were so excited to have real jeans. They also loved the new shirts your funds provided, what a blessing to have 2 brand new shirts! Yea! The excitement was so high as they opened their Birthday bags, hugging their clothes and holding up the toy cars, trucks or little stuffed animals. They just loved their recorders. They were making all kinds of music! These children are so gifted they will be playing songs in the church very soon. Vickie wanted to stay longer and teach them, but when she returns she will be able to see just what they have taught themselves and she can go from there. They loved the chocolate Babu and Mama Donna brought for them. The chocolate oatmeal and peanut butter cookies that Mama Vickie made were a hit and the punch was a very special treat. Everyone had a one of my special hats, even the puppies. These hats will be enjoyed for many days.
