Our Parent Sponsors are awesome! Thanks to great participation on their part and some very generous additional donors, every child now has a bicycle. I think we must have bought every bicycle in Kenya! It took several trips to several stores in order to find them.
Every child got a wonderful Christmas gift. There were gigantic smiles on their little faces. We took Christmas decorations including an inflatable snowman and made a Christmas Tree with twinkle lights that flashed to the beat of Christmas music. I think they could sit for hours just staring at the pretty lights and all the gifts under the tree. They made sure to “peek” when they thought nobody was looking to see which gift had their name on it. It was so cute to watch!

Playground

Our kids now have a playground! We have two sets of monkey bars, four see-saws, soccer goals, and a large swingset. We didn’t get to finish the merry-go-round, basketball goals, and the four spring bouncers, but the materials are already bought. The children are so thrilled! Thank you for making this possible!

Constrution
We started the kitchen extension, the water tower, plastering the rear balcony, privacy partitions in the boys dorm bathroom, an outside chicken pen, and other miscellaneous projects too numerous to mention. We made great progress and expect to finish these projects when we return in the summer. It was a busy trip!

Church building

We built the walls for Pastor Lawy’s church from bricks that we made on site. This was a great challenge as the previous builder did not build the foundation or roof level. We had to improvise, but the finished product was great!

Ministry and outreach
Our team had the priveledge of ministering in churches, cell groups, and also home-to-home evangelism. We saw lives changed and souls won to the Kingdom of God! There were also times of ministering to the workers and just plain “living the Gospel”.

Please pray
Please help me pray concerning a special need. I lost my camera and video camera at the airport in Kisumu. Pictures of the Christmas party and new individual pictures of each child were still on them. Thanks to our team members, I was able to locate a few pictures to share here, but the loss of the pictures and video is heart-breaking. Please help me pray that they wil be returned. I believe God is able to do exceedingly above all that we think or ask, and nothing is impossible with Him! He knows right where those cameras are and can answer our prayers for their return.
