God is good and so faithful! We are extremely busy with all the things God is doing in and through Carry the Light. It’s an exciting time! Here’s an update on the opening of our home in Honduras as well as an update on our last trip to Kenya.

We now have orphans living in our home in HONDURAS and we are in the process of identifying additional children who will be coming in May if we have Sponsors for them. We are opening the Home in phases, and with each phase, we are able to bring 20 children. This creates an opportunity for those interested to change two lives – YOURS and THEIRS!. KID LIFE IN

KENYA!

We were able to introduce a wonderful children’s church program to our children from Life Spring Church in Rockwall, Texas. They loved the upbeat songs complete with video and motions as well as the games, verses, and lessons. One night we did the entire service at Joshua’s church and invited the community to attend. Many community children and adults were there and were equally thrilled. Many committed their lives to Christ! On another night, as Greg taught the lesson, a bug actually flew down his throat! The bugs were especially thick that night. The lesson was on bugs – butterflies soar and caterpillars crawl. It was a great illustration! 🙂

CARRY THE LIGHT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY EXPANSION

Our school has been expanded and now includes kindergarten through fifth grades as well as a nursery school. We are happy to have more than 80% of our children in our school. We are able to provide a better education for them than they receive in the overcrowded and undersupplied public schools. Every child has a textbook to use which is so much better than the 1 book to 4 students ratio the public school offers. Our classrooms have been freshly painted and school is in full operation. We have taken a financial leap of faith in increasing our school by 3 grades. Please consider donating to our education fund to help with the cost of desks and textbooks.

UPWARD IN

KENYA!

Our football (soccer) team was very excited and blessed to receive soccer jerseys, balls, and other goodies from the Upward program at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Rowlett, Texas. Not only did our boys get jerseys, but they provided enough for the community boy’s team as well! There were big smiles all around as we watched them play their first game wearing them. For the record, we won!

NEW ARRIVAL

Our assistant director, Phillip, and his wife, Evelyn, welcomed a new baby boy while we were in Kenya in January. I am so honored his parents chose to include my name among his. What a blessing it was to be there during this most special time!

WE ARE OPEN IN HONDURAS!

Praise the Lord! Our children’s home in Honduras is now open with four beautiful boys in residence and more on the way! They are so excited to know they are loved and are safe. Our staff there is doing an excellent job caring for them. I plan to return in May for more construction and spend some time hugging these kids! The cost of living in Honduras is very close to that of America and we are in need of home sponsors to help with the basic expenses of running this home.

A NEW ROOF FOR JOSHUA’S CHURCH

During this last trip, we were able to put a roof on Joshua’s church building. The congregation is growing and I was honored to get to preach there the first Sunday we were in Kenya.

ROOFTOP SALVATION

The rooftop salvations continue! As I work side by side with the local men whom we hire to help us build, I endeavor to develop relationships that show Christ’s love. Another has accepted Jesus as his Savior! I thank God for His faithfulness!

NEW WINE FELLOWSHIP IN KISUMU GETS A NEW BUILDING

With God’s help and a lot of hard work, we were able to build a new church for Bishop Mary and her congregation. The walls were completed in just 15 days. The congregation will be responsible to complete the roof and finish out the building. I was honored to preach there the following Sunday. The presence of God was so strong! It was a powerful service where the altars were filled with responses to the message. Many lives were touched and changed. To God be the glory!

BAPTISM IN LAKE VICTORIA

I had the privilege of baptizing several of our children and staff as well as members of Joshua’s congregation. We all walked down to the lake for the service. It was a great witness to the fishing community who lives there. Praise God!

MERRY CHRISTMAS CHILDREN!

We had a wonderful after Christmas celebration with our children. They were overjoyed to receive new backpacks, pencils, t-shirts and more!

I so appreciate the prayers and support of each of you. It is a great comfort and blessing to my family and I to know you are praying for us. I pray God blesses you beyond your wildest dreams!
